Built in 1925 as the city's most elegant apartment hotel, The Ritz Tower today remains one of Manhattan's most luxurious and sought-after residential cooperatives noted for its spacious and elegant apartments, each one unique. The building's crown, with its attic story under a mansard roof and heavy capping obelisk looks as if it's trying to put a lid on the tower's height. The Ritz Tower is lost in a shuffle of midsize buildings.
