The Captain John Lymeburner house was built on the corner of High and Beaver Streets (then Range Street) in 1803. His daughter Jennet married Samuel Locke, druggist and apothecary, and the house become known as the Lymeburner/Locke house. It was removed for a Shell gas station in the late 1940s, early 1950s. In August 1885 the house was advertised for sale, being suitable as a hotel, business purposes or tenement house.
