In the days of the Hungarian Film Festival in cinema "Spartak". Renamed in Soviet times "Spartak", until 1921 the theater was named "ARFASTO "and until 1939 was the only one on the Rustaveli Avenue. The history of cinema is associated with the name of the entrepreneur M.O.Aramyantsa which owned hotel located in the building "Palas Hotel". Name cinema M.O.Aramyants made from the first letters of the names of their children - Aram, Flora, Anna, Soghomon, Tamara (the wife of the eldest son of Hovhannes), Hovhannes - ARFASTO.
