Better known as Europa Point Lighthouse, this lighthouse was laid down in 1838. It was inaugurated on August 1, 1841. The Gibraltar Lighthouse is the only lighthouse managed by Trinity House - the Pilot Lighthouse Corporation - outside the UK. That's why it has other names: Trinity Lighthouse at Europa Point and Victoria Tower. The lighthouse tower is 20 m and painted white with a wide red horizontal stripe in the middle. In 1956 this lighthouse was electrified, and in 1994 - completely In clear weather, the lighthouse provides visibility for 48 km and is equipped with equipment for signaling in fog. On October 10, 2008, the MV Fedra bulk carrier crashed there.
