The shot was made on March, 1976 The huge Citicorp Center, 601 Lexington was erected in order not to demolish the St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. The only option was the construction of several supporting columns. The construction of the building was completed in 1977. In 1978, a student at Princeton University, Diane Hartley, requested the design of the Citicorp Center in the office of the building's architect for academic work. While working on her training project, she drew attention to the fact that during the construction of a building the effect of the so-called “crosswind” on the structure were not taken into account. She sent a request to the office of the construction company and they recognized that when designing the building, not all environmental factors were taken into account! In 1978, Hurricane Ella threatened to fall on the city of New York
