This view taken in a southeastward direction shows the northerly (34th St.) side of this edifice. The photographers vantage point is a building on the north side of 34th Street, midway between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Fifth Avenue and Astor Court are to the left and right respectively of the Hotel. The latter will disappear and be included in the site for the Empire State Building. November 7, 1929
