After the death of the widow of the last owner Dietlof Friedrich Adolf von Arnim in 1889, the heirs sold the palace (left) to the Prussian state in 1902. In 1905/06, a new building was carried out for the Royal Academy of the Arts under the direction of Ernst Eberhard von him, which was inaugurated in November 1907. The Palais Wrangel, which is located on the neighboring property in Pariser, is demolished by its owner, the Rohdich legate fund, after the death of the field marshal in 1878. An architectural group under the direction of Gregor von Stralendorff builds a magnificent club and rental house in his place until 1880. From 1883 to 1915, the family of Prince Anton von Radziwill lived on the first floor, whose valuable collection of paintings and the princely hospitality of the Palais make the Palais a meeting point for the Berlin artist world.
