time you are passing Edinburgh College of Art on Lauriston Place have a look down the street on the east side of the muckle red sandstone rectangular building (Hunter Building). Today its called Keir Street however until 1966 it was known as Graham Street. The image here shows the bottom corner of Graham street looking from Lauriston Place many years ago. Today this is Art College buildings. The very interesting church building, standing jammed in the corner, was built as Greyfriars Free Church and converted to the Graham Street Synagogue, consecrated in 1898.
