City Hall and the Triforium on March 29, 1976. Construction of City Hall began in 1926 and was completed in 1928 its first dedication took place on April 27th of the same year. It remained the tallest building in California from 1928-1964 at 28 stories tall (450 feet). Associated architects were: John C. Austin, John and Donald Parkinson, and Albert C. Martin. City Hall is located at 200 N. Spring Street. Joseph Young created the Triforium sculpture, which was installed in 1975.
