Assembly Presbyterian Church, 500 I Street NW, 4/15/06 "Washington Times".At the time, the building had just been sold to Ohev Sholom for use as a synagogue. It was being used as church again by the mid-1950s.Built in 1852, this building is still standing, serving as the Chinese Community Church - minus its steeple and clad in some especially ugly formstone (apparently due to be removed soon). Recent research suggests it was designed by Thomas Ustick Walter.
