The evacuation of Mainzer Straße in the then Berlin district of Friedrichshain on November 14, 1990 led to a street battle for 13 occupied houses. The evacuation is considered one of the most massive police operations in Berlin in the post-war period and led to the dissolution of the red-green coalition on the part of the alternative list (AL).
