Étretat
J. Offenbach had a spacious villa, built in the fashionable area of Etret, and almost every summer the composer spent here with his family. It was named for Operetta "Orpheus to hell", which, in fact, gave Offenbach the means for the dumping of this house. He gave large tricks, which often visited Georges Bizet and Gustav Dore, as well as impromptu concerts, costumed balls, literary salons and theatrical evenings. In 1861, the fire caused significant damage, as a result of which the villa had to be built almost again next year. Then the house fell into decay and was repaired in 2016–2018.
