The construction of the church dates back to the second half of XII - beginning of XIII century. In 1674 the central facade of the church was destroyed by lightning in k.XVII in. it was rebuilt in the style marked by the influence of the Counter-Reformation. In 1775 it completed the construction of the spire of the bell tower, which remained unfinished for five centuries. West facade of the church is in sharp contrast with the rest of the appearance of the building, constructed in the Romanesque style. It has the shape of a rectangle, which occupies the central part of the portico. Its lower tier, topped triangular gable frame Doric column, and with an arcuate upper gable - Ionic columns. In the triangular gable statuary is in the form of two cupids supporting tiara Bishop. In the niches between the columns of the lower tier before statues of St. Luke and St. Mark, and in the upper niches - statues of saints Peter and Paul. All of them have disappeared.
