Construction was financed by a joint -stock company, consisting of wealthy citizens and residents of the surroundings. The new building (photo)-the theater built in 1864–1866, is one of the most famous buildings of Sumure and one of the masterpieces of architect Charles Joli Literam/Charles Joly-LEARME. The facades are decorated with Corinthian columns. Inside there is a hall in the Italian style, which in the 19th century accommodated 860 people. Thanks to the restoration of 2011–2014 The stage space was modernized, while the architectural appearance of the building was completely preserved.
