"When my great-great-great-grandad James Fuller took up residence in East Street in about 1818 he and his wife Eliza still had 4 children to come. His first 3 had been baptised in St Pauls Deptford. When they settled in Ipswich the next 4 Hannah, George, John and Harriet were all baptised between 1819 and 1828 in the Ebenezer Wesleyan Chapel in Market Lane. This was replaced in 1860 by the Museum Street Wesleyan (now Methodist) Chapel. William Pretty laid the foundation stone. This postcard of Museum Street Wesleyan was photographed in Edwardian times. Ebenezer and Market Lane have all but disappeared now. Of course had they been born a few years later they could have been baptised at the Primitive Methodist Chapel established in the Rope Walk in 1839."
