Aerial view of Richfield Oil Corp. research plant, located on Crescent Way and Muller Street and adjacent to the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Anaheim view is looking slightly northwest. Crescent Way is diagonally at upper left, bending just below the 5 freeway, and paralleling it to middle right Muller Street starts at middle right (below the freeway), and runs diagonally to bottom middle the Santa Ana (5) Freeway is diagonally middle right to top left. Several large groves can be seen scattered throughout among the neighborhoods. Photograph dated November 14, 1956. The $2,500,000. research and development center of the Richfield Oil Corp. was built on a 20-acre site adjacent to the Santa Ana Freeway at the west edge of Anaheim, and opened on October 23, 1956. It comprises a laboratory building, administration building, pilot plant, engine laboratory building, shops and a warehouse building.
