Aerial view of the Sales neighborhood, with the Torro Plaza first, shortly before that first celebration of 1931 in which it was found that the surroundings of the square were not yet prepared to host shows of this magnitude. The square was located in one of the worst neighborhoods of Madrid then, the sales of the Holy Spirit. There passed through the funeral courts that were heading to the nearby cemetery, there left the mules and the horses and there was also a focus of chabolism and marginal population
