JGF 321K, ex London DMS operating trials with Ipswich Borough Transport, October 1983. This London Transport Fleetline was purchased by Maxwell Gearboxes in 1982, to be used as a demonstrator for their new design of gearbox. In 1983 the bus was sent to Suffolk to be repainted in this special livery at the Constantine Road depot of Ipswich Borough Transport. The bus spent some time in Ipswich (it was noted running trials, albeit not in public service in August 1983). It started running trials in passenger service in Ipswich in October 1983. It was subsequently tried out in Swindon and Brighton but doesn't appear to have been very successful, being sold for scrap at a fairly early date. The bus is seen here in Princes Street, Ipswich, operating on the cross town service from Stoke Park to Castle Hill.
