Park Avenue, adjoining the N.E. corner of E. 37th Street, showing at this location the garden established in 1913-16 by the Murray Hill Association to remedy the unsightly appearance of this vacant lot, the property of the I.R.T. Co. In 1923 this will be included in the site for the 15 story apartment house, No. 61 Park Avenue.Thru the center runs Park Avenue and to the left is E. 37th Street, west of the Avenue. In 1931 the Union League Club House will rise there. Opposite same and prominently shown is the building at the N.W. corner occupied by Charles Coaster and which has recently (N.Y. Sun June 14, 1939) been sold for replacement by an apartment house. This is to be of Georgian design andharmonize with the Union League Club building.
