Sixth Avenue, east side, south from W. 9th Street, showing mainly, the blockfront between 9th and 8th Streets. These photographs are possible since the removal of the old "E1" line that formerly darkened the Avenue. The 8th Street station of same was here. A recent City Council resolution has authorized the appellation of "Village Square" to the open area remaining.
