Saint-Benoît-la-Forêt
Castle, building XV - AD XVI century Expanded in 1720. The castle also had its own chapel, it was mentioned as being in good condition in the inventories of 1787. Around 1828, the southern facade was decorated with a portico with columns, and a dome with the so-called. lantern (a small tower on top of the dome, topped with its own small dome or tent - see photo). Thus, having been completely transformed, the new château de Beugny became a wonderful place for receptions, visits, hunting and balls, which continued here over the next 30 years. In the 20th century this castle gradually fell into disrepair and by the 60s was partially destroyed. Now it has been restored and converted into a hotel.
