The Plaza, Fifth Avenue at S.W. corner of 59th Street. In the left foreground is seen the Cornelius Vanderbilt mansion, from 57th to 58th Streets, facing on the Plaza. It will be demolished about 1926. In the centre background are houses on west 58th Street. At the right may be seen a portion of the old Plaza Hotel, which is in process of giving place to the modern 18-story building. 1905.
