Berlin
Reflecting the bustling prosperity of West Berlin, the city's main thoroughfare -Kurfuerstendamm, bristles with new construction. At the far end of this busy street stands the new Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, (a low boxlike chapel and a tall modernistic bell tower), and the World War II ruins of the old Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial church. The bombed-out shell of the old church is being left up as a grim reminder of war's destruction. Just behind the cluster of church buildings, is the gleaming Berlin Hotel. This view was taken from a helicopter.
