Odin of the first houses Cité internationaleObschezhitie BIERMANS-LAPÔTRE is one of the oldest houses Cité internationale. It was built thanks to Jean-Hubert BERMANSU, a businessman, who made his fortune in Canada for the production of paper. Very adherent to charitable works, he decided to support the work of Andre HONNORAT, one of the Cité internationale-founding fathers. In 1924, with his wife Bertha LAPTRE, he donated a large sum of the University of Paris. Objective: To finance the construction of dormitories, intended for accommodation in Paris, Belgian and Luxembourg students. The foundation of the building was laid in 1924. The building is open to the January 1927 rate.
