Hospital for orphans was founded in 1669 by Queen Maria Theresa, wife of Louis XIV. In 1901, the hospital transferred to a new building at a different address (Hôpital Armand-Trousseau still exists today), the old building is demolished in 1902, and this place is broken Square Trousseau, new streets, there is a new development. Corner (pictured) building has survived, but it in 1905 built out a new angle on the new same street Rue Antoine Vollon.
