Broadway, west side, south from West 3rd Street, showing prominently the Grand Central Hotel at Nos. 665-677. The Southern Hotel, as shown bears No. 679 and adjoins the 32 1/2-story corner structure, No. 68l. Around 1890 the Grand Central became known as the Broadway Central.
