Castello Belcaro. Patio with a well. The castle was built in the XII century, not far (southwest) from Siena. From then until the sixteenth century, he suffered numerous raids and was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt. In the XIV century there was a monastery founded by St. Catherine of Siena, later the castle became the property of the Salimbeni family, but was again destroyed during a popular uprising. In the 16th century, it was acquired by the Turamini family, in which it acquired its present appearance. Restoration and reconstruction were entrusted to Baldassarra Peruzzi. At the beginning of the 18th century, the castle was acquired by the Camajori family, to which it still belongs.
