Reduta City Palace. In 1906, the city authorities announced a creative competition for the construction of a new city palace. Everyone really liked the project of Budapest architects Desider Jakab and Marcel Komor. Due to the outbreak of World War I, some decorative details were completed only by 1919. The building of the Redoubt Palace was intended to host various performances, concerts and other entertainments, which attracted a wide variety of audiences. This building included several auditoriums. Sometimes films were shown here. The redoubt belonged to the city, after the Second World War it was nationalized and given to the Slovak Philharmonic, which is located here now. In addition to this institution, several halls of the palace belong to a famous restaurant and a huge casino. Dating is approximate.
