The monument of Gagarina in Karlovy Vary was established in 1975, the opening of the monument took place on May 11th. Authors of the monument of spouse Sculptors Antonin Kuerc and Gizel Zubov-Kukharzhov. The monument was established here due to the fact that Gagarin after his space flight, in 1966, came to rest in Karlovy Vary. The Geyser Colonnade, in front of which the monument was supplied, was also named after the first cosmonaut.
