The building was built in 1869 as a granary, but was used as an office. This is probably the best-preserved example of the Bristol Byzantine style. From 1968 to 1988 here was the rock club of the same name. Granary has featured many famous rock bands, including Yes, Genesis, Status Quo, Motörhead and Iron Maiden. It is now a residential building.
