Obernstraße in Bremen with the Ratskeller and Cathedreal of St. Peter in the background. The Obernstraße is one of Bremen's main streets and today, as part of a large pedestrian passage, the main shopping street. In 1944, almost all the buildings on the Obernstraße were completely destroyed during WW2. Today, the street has almost exclusively department stores and retail outlets as well as offices on the upper floors.
