The theater building Order of Lenin State Academic Ukrainian Drama Theater named after Ivan Franko (now Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater), built in 1898 with funds raised by the public, for the City Drama Theater Solovtsova, GP Architects Shleifer and EP Bradtman. The auditorium with a balcony and a gallery designed for 1200 seats. During the war the building was destroyed in 1946, restored and in 1959-1960 radically reconstructed (overbuilt floor on the main facade, attached box office lobby, expanded lobby on the second floor, with the result that the volume of construction has increased by almost a third - to 41 600 square meters) *
