Madison Ave., west side, south from East 65th to 63rd Streets, showing at the S.W. corner of East 64th Street, a 3-story colonial building occupied by a branch of the Bank of Manhattan Co. This structure erected in 1933 stands upon the site of the former 5-story ,Seth Low home, No. 30 East 64th Street (also bore No. 726 Madison Ave.), The ornate 6-story edifice on the opposite corner (N.W.) is No. 27 East 64th Street (also No. 740-42 Madison Ave.). North of same and appearing on the right is a 3-story gabled building (No. 746) that adjoins the S.W. corner of East 65th Street. Towering over the roof tops of buildings concerned is the Hotel Pierre. June 12, 1937.
