The castle was built in the XIII century, and survives today with only minor rearrangements of the XVI century. Its southwest corner protected impressive round dungeon height 33 m, diameter of 13.5 m and 2.2 m thick walls whereas in the other three corners round turret mounted - so-called "Échauguette". (This is a small square or cylindrical patrol the premises, often with loopholes, allowing you to have an overview of up to 270 degrees) .Currently the district administration is located in the castle.
