SOUTH KOREA. Ulsan, Kensangnam-do. One of the main Hyundai Motors car factories as part of the Hyundai Group is located in Ulsan. The plant was built in 1967. 1.4 million vehicles of its 32,000 employees, produced in 1996, make it the number one in the world for production by one plant. The plant exports 600,000 units a year, mainly to North America and Australia, using more than twenty road carriers to deliver them. One team of sixty persons loads 300 vehicles an hour aboard a ship, and each ship leaves port carrying an average of 4,800 vehicles
