View of the northeast corner of 5th and Flower Streets in downtown Los Angeles in April 1927. Julian Service Station, a small gas station selling Rainbow Motor Oil and Lightning Gasoline for 12-and-a-half cents a gallon, has many parked cars in it. Behind are two residences with wood siding, and further along Figueroa at left is an auto park. At right is a line of several brick apartment buildings going up Bunker Hill.
