Second Avenue, west side, from East 17th to 18th Streets, showing a southwestward view of Manhattan General Hospital. This structure, erected on the Hon. Hamilton Fish home site, was formerly occupied by the Lying In Hospital. At the left is the westerly portion of Stuyvesant Park below 17th Street. April 26, 1940 The Manhattan General Hospital, here shown, is the former Lying In Hospital. The building is the same, only the name was changed.
