A May 1970 color photograph of the side of the marquee and box office of the art moderne style Mayfair Theater in Ventura. Built in 1940, the Mayfair Theatre had all seating on a single sloping floor. There were decorative mural on the splay walls beside the proscenium which contained murals by interior decorator Anthony B. Heinsbergen. In its later years, was a Pussycat Theatre. The theatre was demolished in August, 2004
