Broadway, east side, north from West 55th to 57th Streets. Tho demolition in the foreground between West 55th and 56th Streets, was the former site of the Sonoma and Rockingham, apartment hotels. The Broadway Tabernacle (Congregational), appears at the N.E. corner of 56th Street, with the 9-story Cadillac salesroom (General Motors Co), adjoining same, and occupying the S.E. corner of 57th Street. August 24, 1936.
