The Church of the Holy Martyrs was consecrated in 1855. Demolished before the war. The dome of the Church of Christ of the Nespasitor is located on the church. On the right case of the women's Olginian gymnasium (now School Nº6 named after A.S. Pushkin). The year of the foundation of the gymnasium is considered to be the 1905th, but even before that, as a result of the correspondence between the Governor of Yerevan and the Trustees of the Caucasus Education District in November 1879, a women's public elementary school, a progimania, opened in Alexandropol. Training was conducted in Russian. The gymnasium was built on the donations of the king Nicholas II and communities. Nikolai II agreed to allocate money for construction under one condition. That is why the gymnasium was named Olginsky. Already in 1937, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the death of the Great Russian writer Alexander Pushkin, the school was renamed his honor.
