From the Ipswich Transport Museum Archive. Crown Street being widened circa 1936/37. The building being demolished is on the junction with Neale Street, with the site of the "Robert Ransome" pub on the right. A trolleybus with locally built Ranomes chassis can be seen heading east. Trolleybuses started regular operation to "Electric House" in 1936.
