At the time, the museum was in need of a depository, so its director succeeded in reversing the decision to demolish the church in 1975, with the provision that it would be used as a museum depository. The furniture of the church was already destroyed or stolen at that time, for example, the baroque oak pews served as a fire pit for witches, so the Zubrnič szazáci had the biggest fire in the area.
