It has a new roof. Jewish community rabbi and synagogue existed already in the early 17th century. During the Thirty Years' War, the town and the Jewish quarter burnt and many people lost their lives. The original, probably wooden synagogue, destroyed during the Thirty Years War in 1688 was replaced by a new, brick synagogue. Further development of the Jewish community in 1721 was adversely affected by the conflict with the Catholic Chaplain Samuel Jelinek from Dubicko, which disrupted worship Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). According to a subsequent court decision was strict punishment of the accused Jews and the demolition of the synagogue. In 1753 Empress Maria Theresa in Usov allowed to establish three prayer. The decree of Emperor Joseph II. From 1783 enabled the construction of the "new" synagogue that still stands in Usov.
