Looking northeast across the street at the headquarters for Imperial Savings & Loan Association, located at 4929 Wilshire Boulevard. Prior to 1973, when this 11-story building was constructed, a tire business called Anderson & Griswold occupied this site. On the northwest corner of Wilshire Boulevard and S. Highland Avenue (left) is a Go-Lo service station offering gas costing between 60 to 68 cents per gallon.
