Twenty-five years ago, the Culver City plant of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer was composed of six glassed in stages. But time marched on and here we see the beginning of a vast expansion with thirty huge sound stages rising for the production of films when the movies found its voice. Photo dated: May 31, 1949.
