The church was built in 1755-1758 gg.Na the turn of the 50s. and in the early 1960s, the church wanted to carry out the expansion of career. May 3, 1958 the church was declared a cultural monument. Mining operations were halted in July 1962 after experts protests to save Uhlířský Vrch as a unique monument. Festive service in the church were made until 1972, until they were banned by the authorities. Subsequently, the interior of the building was destroyed by the Russian army soldiers stationed in Bruntále, and local vandals. From the rich decoration of the church only a few paintings and sculptures preserved. After a major renovation, the church was re-consecrated on October 9, 1993 the Olomouc Archbishop Msgr. Janem Graubnerem.V present time the church partially renovated.
