Backing onto the mountain of Rheims and overlooking vineyards, Rilly la Montagne has kept its character and traditions of a small Champagne village.On the photo, down the street is the railway crossing, and further away the church bell tower. "Rue de Villers-Allerand" was called before WW1 "Avenue de la Gare" (Railway station avenue) Please note the typical feature: several workers wearing aprons (typical of the champagne wines workers)
