8 Chester Place became a satellite campus of Mount St. Mary's College in 1962, as bequeathed by Estelle Doheny. Photograph caption dated May 27, 1962 reads, "Here is an outside view of the Edward L. Dohney home which now is main building of Mt. St. Mary's College's downtown campus."
