The history of the current park. Stanislaw Moniuszko dates back to 1874, this is the second лодódз park (the oldest is Park Źródliska in 1840). The Station Park was designed by architect H.Maevsky - the one whose project was used to build the Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral: it is in the photo on the left, in the background. Since then, this garden has been unofficially called Alexandrovsky. Many of the trees planted in the XIX century. are still growing here. The pavilion at the back of the cathedral was called Kroplą Mleka: it sold dairy products. Now ruined. In the 1960s. The park is named after the composer S.Monyushko.
