On this ancient street of the XII century on the site of the house 56 (photo) was once the home of Etienne Chevalier (1410-1474) - a statesman who left his mark on history through contrived and ordered them to two as we would say today, the draft: Hours of Étienne Chevalier and Melonskomu diptihu.Melonsky diptih (1450). The painting consists of two parts, which are currently located in different cities of the left wing - in Berlin, right - in Antwerp. Experts have long assumed that the two parts of the diptych, but modern research has been able to prove the truth of this hypothesis.
